1. Easy Quotes – Travelers can easily get a quote on each of the three plans on TravelInsurance.com by entering their travel destination, date of travel, trip cost, age, and state of residence into our easy to use quote form. The quote shows a side-by-side comparison of each plan so that travelers are well-informed of the coverage each plan includes.
2. Each Plan Comes with a Free Look Period – All travelers can cancel their insurance plan within 10 days of purchase (30 days for Indiana residents) for a full refund. Plans should be purchased several weeks ahead of the trip if possible because the free look period is only valid when the trip hasn’t started yet (and if the traveler hasn’t filed a claim).
3. Industry Leader in Assistance Services – If travelers have an emergency at any time during their trip, they can contact Generali’s 24-Hour Emergency Assistance Services for immediate help. In addition, every plan includes access to Teladoc. Teladoc is a network of physicians licensed in the U.S. that can assist travelers if they need information about medical advice, treatment, and prescription medication.
The Plans Offered
Generali Global Assistance has three different plans available to travelers. The three plans give travelers the ability to select a plan that is both affordable for them and fits needs of their trip. Some travelers embarking on exotic trips may need more coverage, while others may need just the bare minimum.
Standard – The Standard Plan is the basic travel protection plan and includes coverages such as Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Baggage Delay, and Medical and Dental in addition to assistance services. If a trip is canceled, 100% of the trip cost is covered for specific covered reasons. This plan also covers up to $1,000 per person for lost baggage and $200 per person for baggage delays. Medical and Dental are covered up to $50,000 per person and Emergency Assistance and Transportation is covered up to $250,000 per person.
Preferred – The Preferred Plan is ideal for travelers looking for more coverage than the Standard plan offers. This plan covers up to $1,500 per person for Sporting Equipment and $300 per person for Sporting Equipment Delay. The rest of the Preferred Plan is similar to the Standard Plan, just with increased coverage amounts and coverage for Accidental Death & Dismemberment (Travel Accident) coverage.
Premium – The Premium plan is intended for more expensive travel and offers the highest coverage. This plan includes $25,000 in Rental Car Damage per plan and allows for coverage for pre-existing medical conditions (if the traveler meets certain requirements). In addition, this plan offers an optional Cancel For Any Reason add-on, in which travelers can cancel their trip for any reason and receive 75% reimbursement of their insured trip cost, provided the add-on was purchased and all requirements are met. This plan offers similar benefits to the Preferred plan but with higher coverage levels.
